Toe!

Last night before bed, the snow had started falling, and this morning there were a few inches on the ground at our house. Thanks to Lily, we were all awake at 7:15 and enjoyed a fun morning at the house. We took the kids out in the backyard to play in the "toe". Alden immediately laid down and made "toe angels." Hudson was a little nervous about walking in Alden's old boots, as well as walking in the snow, but he warmed up to it pretty quickly. Both of the kids were throwing snowballs, and Alden kept yelling for Matt to throw them at her. She was across the yard, and thought it was the best game for Matt to try to hit her with snowballs. Hudson would pick up some snow, walk a few feet, drop it and yell.
Lily is in heaven. She loves snow more than most anything else in the world and spent most of the day laying in yard eating snow and chewing on sticks.

We made Valentine's Day cookies today, too. Our plan is to take them to the ladies at the Y on Monday, since we ended up eating the Christmas ones we had planned to take in December. I think we all ate our monthly allotment of frosting while icing them.
